Robin Van Persie set to leave the Gunners

Robin Van Persie is set to leave the gunners in the summer reports have said.

The Dutchman has said that he will not be signing a new contract with the North Londoners sparking fury that he will be heading up North for some Manchester City cash.

The 22 year old striker looks certain to be on City’s hitlist as he impressed last season as the Premier League’s top scorer.

Reasons for leaving may be the fact that the striker has won just a single trophy with the Gunners – the FA cup at the end of his first season as a Gooner in 2005.

Robin Van Persie is claiming a difference in opinion with the Arsenal top brass over future ambitions for the club. It’s interesting as Nasri said the same thing before he left for City.

A lot of the fans are upset and seem to think that a lack of silverware doesn’t really justify leaving a club that has provided you with a home. Should the Dutchman bail out on the gunners over a lack of silverware? What are your views?

Robin Van Persie stuck 37 goals in for the Gunners in just 48 outings last season. He has also struggled with injuries where his club stood by him and now he repays Arsenal with this.
