| Barcelona talk to Cesc Fabregas’ family |
Over the past month or so we have witnessed one of the most in your face campaigns of tapping up from Barcelona. Its public, against the law and disgraceful.
It is widely reported in the Spanish press (Marca, El Mundo, Sport.es) that yesterday there was a lengthy conversation between Cesc’s family (believed to be his mother and sisters) and the Barcelona president Sandro Rosell. Now, I’m not going to make any accusations that there was anything untoward going on but its not the sort of thing you want to see as an Arsenal fan.
Theres no point being patronising about how important family is to Cesc, of course it is going to be important – but seeing Barcelona getting so up close and personal with Cesc and his family is rather disconcerting. He is surrounded by lifelong friends and Barcelona players and who knows the effect that might have on him, I still feel he will stay but I’m not so confident as a few days ago before the Pique comments.

| Arsenal new boy to be given a starring role on Wednesday? |
It seems to me that if Fabio and his team of prima donnas want to progress in this tournament, then he’ll have to unwrap Arsenal playmaker Joe Cole, the England team were hopeless against the mighty Algerians and to see Wayne trailer trash Rooney complaining at the fans was laughable. Then to see that twit William talking to Beckham and laughing at the angry fan really made my blood boil.
Beckham needs to move on, he’s had his day, he reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor, glammed up when she’s 50 years past it. William was there with his often pissed brother, having another free lunch, supporting England, yet a couple of months ago, that same twat was supporting the Welsh, what a scumbag.
| And all three of them were recanting the story of the angry fan, the thing is, none of them have done a stroke in their lives and have no idea what it’s like to put your hand in your pocket and buy a ticket, |

Campbell left fuming after Capello snub
Sol Campbell has some harsh words for England boss Fabio Capello after he failed to make England’s World Cup squad.
The likes of Rio Ferdinand, Matthew Upson, Ledley King and Jamie Carragher were picked ahead of the Arsenal man, and due to a mixture of poor fitness and poor performances this season from those players, Campbell believes he was the in-form man and should have been picked.
The former Spurs and Portsmouth defender made a shock return to Arsenal in January, but was one of the team’s best players in the closing stages of the season.
The 35-year-old is not sure yet whether he will be wanted by Arsenal next season, but is angry that he wasn’t wanted by England this summer.
He said: “I would have put my heart and soul into playing for England again. The way I have been playing for Arsenal, don’t you think I should be? I do, for sure.

BARCELONA’S new president has made signing Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas his No1
priority.
Sandro Rosell was unveiled as the new Nou Camp supremo after scooping a
whopping 61 per cent of the vote in the club’s presidential election.
He replaces outgoing chief Joan Laporta — the man he famously fell
out with in 2005.
But despite their differences remaining well-documented, the pair embraced
last night after the results were announced.
And Rosell claims his first intention is to speak to his predecessor regarding
the move for 23-year-old Fabregas.
Barcelona have already had a £29million bid for the Gunners captain turned
down but Rosell is adamant the Catalans will get their man.
He said: “When Laporta and I get together, he will explain at what stage the
Cesc situation is at.
“If negotiations are advanced and the coaching staff want the player, we will
continue with the negotiations, without doubt.

Wenger Ready To Splash The Cash
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, criticised by fans after his young side failed to win a trophy since 2005, is to splash out £30million on building a squad to end the drought.
Wenger will make the club’s biggest impact on the summer transfer market for more than a decade, with Everton defender Phil Jagielka the latest target, along with Chelsea’s England midfielder Joe Cole, Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and Lorient defender Laurent Koscielny.
Wenger is finally ready to make major signings after almost 10 years of being constrained by the club’s move to the Emirates Stadium.
Driving force: Arsene Wenger wants Everton’s Phil Jagielka to steer his Arsenal defence next season
And Everton centre-half Jagielka, controversially left out of Fabio Capello’s 30-man preparation squad for the World Cup finals, is the latest player to be targeted by the Frenchman, although Everton manager David Moyes will fight to keep the 27-year-old defender at Goodison Park.
